MAK-KY Corral Alpacas ~ Brad & Gina Martin Moonshadow Alpaca Ranch ~ Deb Hahnel & Nancy Russell

Every alpaca on the ARI registration certificate for Victory is phenomenal! These are just some of the highlights here:
Let’s start with his Sire, Snowmass Royal Challenger, 2004 Futurity Color Champion. Royal Challenger has proven over and over again he can produce the next generation of elite colored Huacaya alpacas. He has consistently passed on his superior phenotype and fleece attributes, superb conformation, awesome coverage, fineness, high-frequency style crimp, long staple length and beautiful brightness.
Victory’s dam, Snowmass Gold Charms, is the daughter of Snowmass Legacy Gold! She remains a production dam for Snowmass Alpacas. Her 2008 daughter sold at the 2010 Making of Champions sale for $50,000. Pretty incredible in today’s alpaca market!
Victory’s Grandsire, Snowmass Royal Rose, was one of the top Studs from the North American Alpaca Stud Group and capable of reproducing dark colored cria with his amazing fiber qualities. Also a multiple Blue Ribbon winner , Color Champion and Blue Ribbon Get of Sire winner. Royal Rose has produced multiple Champion offspring!
Victory’s Paternal Grand dam, PPPeruvian Edelweis, is a grand dam in her own right, having produced a long line of champions and high sellers at auction to include Snowmass Royal Reflection sold at the 2006 Making of Champions sale for $80,000.
Snowmass Legacy Gold, maternal Grandsire, now one of the elite Herd Sires at Cas-Cad-Nac Farm remains the prototype Herd Sire for their superior breeding program. Adding extreme value to Legacy Gold has been his ability to replicate himself with relative ease, demonstrated in his multiple 1st Place Get of Sire wins! He won major victories throughout his show career to include back to back Breed and Color Championships at the 1999 & 2000 Futurities, the only alpaca ever to have accomplished that! His offspring have continued to consistently impress the judges also!
5Peruvian Chaccu, has maintained very good fineness into his 14th year and a high frequency fleece style which he passes onto his offspring. Bred to 6Peruvian Cambria, is said to be as close and fine to the vicuna as they come. She has passed this on to every one of her offspring, to include Victory’s Granddam, Snowmass Ambrosia, still in Snowmass Alpacas production herd. Cambria was sold in the 2006 Making of Champions sale for $50,000 at 9 years old!
Great Grandsire, Peruvian Hemingway, one of the all time great Herd Sires in North
America at one time the number one award winning male in alpaca history. Hemingway
proved himself to be highly prepotent in his ability to pass his incredible fleece
qualities on to his offspring to include reducing micron and improving uniformity
in fleece by up to 25%.
If all this was not impressive enough, behind these greats mentioned is two more of the most recognized and awarded males in the Country, Peruvian Bueno and 4Peruvian Legacy! Legacy bred to Neve’s Lua, produced Legacy Gold. Neve’s Lua, has been another elite production dam. She produced a daughter selling for $67,000 at auction and a son, CCNF Formal Affair, a Color Champion and now standing stud at Maple Brook Alpacas.
Clearly, Snowmass Golden Victory has the best you could possibly put together from the top genetics in North America. He is truly a combination of the best qualities you could possibly put together in one breeding!
